Without severe corporal punishment administered regularly boys may tend to become rebellious and independent. The spankings and whippings a young male is subjected to are for HIS OWN GOOD and if the administrator gets some pleasure from inflicting the punishment then so much the better as he will be more inclined to administer it more diligently.
